the best way to stylize and update the look of bland tops
Have you ever been in a situation where you find yourself indecisive of what to do with a plain top? The color palette of the top is dull with no personality whatsoever and you don't exactly know what to do with it. Do you throw it away? Or do you keep it stuffed in the back of your closet, knowing you'll never wear it again? Unfortunately, I've faced this puzzling question more than a couple times throughout my life, and I know I'm not the only one . I struggled to find an excuse as to why I didn't wear half the tops gifted to me, I sure didn't want to seem wasteful nor ungrateful. Ultimately, after so many years of blinding myself to the truth of my abandoned closet, I had to surrender. I obligated myself to find a real and reliable solution. The following days were spent engaging in profound research, observation and analyzation of fashion ads, catalogues and blog posts. So, when I had finally found my golden solution to unlocking the rest of my once abandoned closet, I was elated to share my new discovery with others. This solution is incredibly easy to put together and takes a very minimal amount to complete. To start you will need an oxford styled button up or any top with a collar. I recommend the colors white, light blue, and pink to start, but you may chose whichever color goes best with your personality and style. Moreover , you will also need your bland top that you want to stylize into an updated and elegant manner. Begin by putting on your oxford button up or collared top on, then place your bland top over it, adjust the sleeves and collars, and you're all set. It's that easy! The added collar and the subtle reveal of the button up at the bottom adds a preppy and sophisticated touch. This style gives off classic and elegant vibes, especially when paired with a blazer and a silk scarf. Now have no guilt and no excuse for not wearing my tops, I've discovered the hidden beauty in these tops by doing this. To sum it up, do yourself a favor, go into your closet, take out all your abandoned tops, and turn them into a your own personal fashion statement. You'll be glad you did :)

I began out with my oxford style, collared top. |
This is the bland top opening. As you can see there is no collar and looks rather dull. |
The bottom of this top has no dimension and is plainly cut straight across. |
Voila! A transformed tee, made to look more elegant and sophisticated. I adore how the blue collar compliments the colors on the top making them appear more vivid. |
